About the event

A Taste of Toastmasters - you will learn the importance of bulding public speaking skills to help you educate others about your business.

What is Toastmasters? Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that builds confidence and teaches public speaking skills through a worldwide network of clubs that meet online and in person.

Meet our guest speaker - Jennifer McNeill is a 24-year Army veteran, fitness enthusiast, author, and international (virtual platform) public speaker and Toastmaster. During her military career she was a recipient of numerous military awards for leadership, physical fitness accomplishments, education, and special military operations. Upon retirement, she had the privilege of serving as the Director for Patient Services and Patient Advocate, College of Dental Medicine, Augusta Georgia, retiring from that position in June 2015. A former UOP, School of Business Area Chair and Adjunct Facilitator, she was awarded 2010 Faculty of the Year, Augusta Ga Campus. A Toastmaster for 20 years, she has served in numerous club and district leadership positions. She is also the recipient of the 2020-2021 District 14 Toastmaster of the Year for her leadership and community service. She has authored two powerful books. The first one entitled, “Stripes, Strength and Lipstick”, her military memoirs, published in 2018. Her second book, “Maneuvering Through Life’s Challenges, Choices and Changes”, was released in 2020.

Her undergrad degree, Bachelor of Applied Science, is from Troy State University. She also has two master’s degrees, Master of Arts in Human Resource Development from Webster University, and Master of Education, with a focus on Higher Education Administration from Troy State University.

Married; this year celebrated 47 years, one daughter and one granddaughter.
